My mom is going through to this crap right now with a company she orders from monthly and the company keeps telling her that her credit card doesn’t work weeks after the payment is paid the day of ordering her stuff. So these people who are cloning profiles are getting your identity to keep this scamming going . I am deeply concerned about the increasing case of phone numbers being cloned and identity theft . These scammers use sophisticated techniques to clone legitimate business phone numbers and misleading people into believing that they are speaking to a well-know company. However, the reality is that these scammers are using this tactic to gain access to your personal information and financial details through text messages. It is alarming that even my own mother has fallen victim to this scam, where a company she orders from regularly is now telling her that her credit card is not working, weeks after the payment was made on the day of ordering. It is clear that these individuals are using our identities to continue their fraudulent activities. This not only causes financial loss but also creates a sense of fear and vulnerability among the victims. It is crucial for people to be aware of these scams and take necessary precautions to protect their personal information. The authorities should also take strict actions against these criminals to prevent such fraudulent activities in the future.”
